Steady Steps Fun Run & Festival

April 22nd, 2023 – 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM

The Crossroads’ Steady Steps Fun Run and Festival is open to the whole community and is a fundraiser for Crossroads Christian School in Tyrone.  

Run or Walk the loop (10:00 AM) with your family and friends. Also, join us for shopping at our Silent Auction and with local crafters, artisans, and local businesses.  Food Trucks, Pony Rides, Bounce Houses, Silent Auction and Craft Show, and Business Vendors open from 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.  

Registration includes: T-shirt, Event Participant, Recreation Arm Band ($10 value), and Goodie Bag. Recreation Arm Bands include pony rides, bounce houses, obstacle course, slides, and other recreational activities.

Race Route:
A paved oval-shaped course.  One lap is 1/2 mile. On the inside of the loop is a beautiful lake filled with ducks, turtles, herons, and geese.  There is also a field inside the track that provides wonderful green space for warming up for the race!  Also, that is where our craft show vendors, food trucks, local businesses, and kids activity area with pony rides and bounce houses. The starting line will be close to the Pavilion and tennis courts.

Weather Plan:
If there is rain we will move the event to the next Saturday, April 29th. We will use the same location and follow the same schedule.

Cost Schedule:

Runners:

  • Until April 21        Regular Registration $30 (non-refundable) 
  •                                    Shirts will be available until March 31st. 
  • April 22                   Day Of Registration $20 (no shirt provided)

Booths:

  • $50 to host a booth

Who It Supports

Proceeds support Crossroads Christian School. Crossroads is a covenant community nurturing the whole child to love God, love learning, and serve others.  Everything we do at CCS is filtered through this purpose. Our philosophy of education is inspired by Charlotte Mason, a prolific writer, and educator at the turn of the twentieth century.  Miss Mason believed, as we do, that education should go well beyond college prep, career prep, and standardized test prep.

At CCS, we learn through: experiencing subjects with hands-on activities, reading stories about real people instead of facts about them, exploring God’s creation, going on field trips, doing service projects, performing experiments, equipping students with tools for academic excellence and more.

Our goal is to raise $25,000 from our event as well as showcase and celebrate the great work God is doing through the students, staff and families at our school.
